Beach Angels

*Project by Erin @ Erin’s Creative Energy for the Summer Bounty challenge of season 12*   Every vacation I take to the beach I always end up bringing far too much of the beach home with me.  Trust me, I have bags of seashells from each of my beach vacations.  I decided with my summer bounty of seashells, I needed to turn them into something beautiful.  This is where Beach Angels were born. This was a super simple beach project to … [Continue reading...]

Summer Bounty Picnic Basket

*Project by Chrissy @  There are UFO’s under my stairs for the Summer Bounty challenge of season 12* Summer Bounty makes me think of delicious foods, warm weather, and a more relaxed schedule with my children. One of our favorite summertime activities is picnicking, so I sewed a liner for a laundry basket and turned it into a great picnic basket instead! I picked up a square laundry basket at Walmart for around $6. I think it's a perfect … [Continue reading...]

*Project by Alicia @ The Creative Vault for the Summer Bounty challenge of season 12* Neon.  Navy.  Stripes.  Chevron. The only thing hotter this summer is the weather! Oh wait for it... all these pool bags only cost $2.  Now that's a HOT deal! Decked Out Pool Towel

*Project by Allie @ Miss Lovie Creations for the Summer Bounty challenge of season 12* So for this week's Summer Bounty Challenge, the first thing that came to mind was sunshine and the pool. Being in the sun and relaxing while reading my book at the pool is one of my favorite things to do in the summer. Making a pool towel that had some fancy details on it sounded like fun. Using terry cloth and cotton twill tape to bind it, I … [Continue reading...]

Sweater to Lace Wrap

*Project by Chrissy @  There are UFO’s under my stairs for the Repurposed challenge of season 12* I found a sweater at the thrift store for three dollars. It was a men's large cotton/linen blend with a stain on the front. I thought I would just work around the stained part, but when I brought it home and washed it the stain came right out. Bonus! I unpicked the seams and then unraveled each piece. I used the yarn to knit a lace … [Continue reading...]

Book Page Art Gallery Wall

*Project by Allie @ Miss Lovie Creations for the Repurposed challenge of season 12* Anything made out of book pages has been a very popular "repurposing" project for a long time. While I love the book page wreaths and mod podged items, I've always loved book page art. I desperately needed something on the walls in our guest bedroom, and there is nothing cheaper than DIY wall art.  I used stencils to create art on the pages of William … [Continue reading...]

Vintage Lace Dress

*Project by Nancy @ Nancy’s Couture for the Repurposed challenge of season 12*  I love to repurpose and refashion things so I had a lot of fun with this weeks theme. I chose to repurpose a vintage lace curtain I have been holding onto for a long while now. Lace and maxi dresses are all the rage this season so I decided to combine the two.  The result was a gorgeous girls dress. I used the scalloped edge of the curtain to … [Continue reading...]

*Project by  Alicia @ The Creative Vault for the Repurposed challenge of season 12* It's pretty common knowledge that the two best days in Elementary School were: 1.  Pizza Friday's. 2.  When the teacher pulled out the parachute.   So let's time warp back to the good ol' days with a little basic math...   That's right... 1+1= 1 super fun new 7 foot wide parachute to play with anytime we want!  No more waiting … [Continue reading...]
