Hello faithful readers!
I have a big announcement to make today. It’s been more than a year in the making, then in about January I realized that if I didn’t just bite the bullet and do it, I never would. So, without further ado, please allow me to introduce you to:
I am, and always have been, a
hoarder collector of beautiful and helpful images and plans. I have binders and binders of pages I have ripped out of magazines. I have folders and folders on my computer of images pulled from my favorite blogs. I have multiple bookmark groups linking to amazing tutorials. And now I have boards and boards of pins over on my Pinterest account.
The problem is that I have all these images and ideas of things that I want to do, but I’ve never DONE any of them. That fact was really starting to bother me.
Then one day I was reading through all the recap posts that my blogger friends did on Ben Silbermann’s (the founder of Pinterest) talk at the 2012 Altitude Design Summit. Ben said something that really hit me.
I wasn’t living any of it and it was bringing me down – making me feel inadequate. I was wishing I had the time & talent to do all the great things I was seeing, when in reality I DID have it. I was just wasting it little by little clicking “see more pins.”
Well, not anymore!
‘The House That Pinterest Built’ will be my place of accountability. My place to introduce you to the great stuff I’ve found online and my feeble attempts to recreate some of them. Here is where I will blog about my adventures using tutorials I find on Pinterest and around the web to remodel, decorate, feed, cloth and have fun with my home and family.
It will be my place to show you what makes me happy. And hopefully, a place that will make you happy too.
I would love it if you would go on over, check it out and follow me! Thanks!!
PS – I’m going to the BlogHer Conference in NYC today!! I’m super excited. I’ll be updating on Facebook, Twitter & Instagram if you want to follow along. Are you going to be there? If you are you should stop by the registration desk and say hello!
