Kim @ Bugaboo, Mini Mr & Me

I’m giddily married (for going on FIVE whole years now) and my mr. helps me raise our two kiddos – aged 3 and almost 1.5 years. I’m a theatre major with some melodramatic tendencies and a passion for creating things. I LOVE to write, craft, sew, cook, play with my kids, and the color yellow. I started bugaboo, mini, mr & me as a mode of showing off my creations – including LOTS of failed DIY attempts. Early on, there were many, and I kept a tally of who was winning – me or my projects. Some of my more famous failures are my desk disaster, my DIY collage frame FIASCO, my pancake hat, and Martha’s thighs – all of which can be found on my blog. Why would I air such terribly dirty laundry in public you ask? Well, because it was my desire to show everyone that you don’t need to have the latest and greatest gadgets and gizmos to craft/sew/bake/blog. All you need is the desire and determination, some good how-to’s and the ability to laugh at yourself (which I think I have in spades). Fortunately, over time, my projects have turned into more triumphs than failures (who’s winning NOW, projects?? Bwah-ha-ha!) and I chalk that up to “practice makes… (almost)… perfect.” The greatest part about blogging my hobbies is all the things I’ve learned – be it html-related, sewing blind hems, which sealant to use on a wreath, or how to make a roux for the perfect cream sauce… I feel it’s important to continue your education – even after all your schooling is done – and through my blog I’ve been able to do that. If you visit, you’ll find way too many wreaths (did I mention I like those?), some forays into sewing, lots of kid-friendly projects and good eats. I dabble in photography too, and just started a snapshot linky party you are all welcome to attend! Plus, bug and mini really like the company, so come say hi.

Kim’s Crafts:

Hi! I'm Missy and I'll be your host. “So You Think You’re Crafty” is a head-to-head crafting competition - the first “reality” blog. Every 10 weeks a new group of crafters is selected. Each week the crafters are given a theme and YOU vote for your favorite.
